Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the eBook Reader application ("App") developed by Tixonic Infotech ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
eBook Reader is a personal reading application that allows you to import, organise, and read eBook files (EPUB, PDF, CBZ/CBR, and similar formats) stored on your device. The App also provides a Book Discovery feature to browse publicly available books from Project Gutenberg and compatible catalogues.
You may use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and features, is owned by Tixonic Infotech and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on your personal device.
Books discovered through the Book Discovery feature are sourced from Project Gutenberg and are in the public domain or provided under open licences. It is your responsibility to verify the copyright status of any book before downloading or using it.
You may import your own eBook files into the App. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to use, store, and read any content you import. Tixonic Infotech does not monitor, access, or take responsibility for any content you store locally in the App.
Highlights, notes, and annotations you create are stored on your device and remain your own. Tixonic Infotech has no access to this data.
The Book Discovery feature fetches book metadata and download links from third-party sources (including Project Gutenberg). We do not control the availability, accuracy, or content of these external sources. Tixonic Infotech is not responsible for any third-party content accessed through the App.
Links or content from third-party sources are provided for convenience only and do not constitute endorsement by Tixonic Infotech.
The App may display advertisements served by Google AdMob or other third-party advertising networks. The appearance, content, and targeting of ads are governed by the respective ad network's policies and are outside our direct control. By using the App, you acknowledge that ads may be displayed.
By using the App, you agree that we may collect anonymous usage data through the following third-party services to improve app stability and user experience:
All data collected by these services is anonymous and aggregated. It is used solely for improving the App and is not sold to any third party. For full details on what is collected, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components. You use the App at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tixonic Infotech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or device damage, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).
All reading data (books, highlights, notes, progress) is stored locally on your device. Tixonic Infotech is not responsible for any loss of data resulting from device failure, accidental deletion, app uninstallation, or any other cause. We strongly recommend keeping backups of any imported eBook files you wish to preserve.
We may update, modify, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time without notice. We are not obligated to provide updates or maintain backward compatibility. New versions of the App may be subject to updated Terms.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new Effective Date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
